League Results 2019

Division 1 Congratulations Cork A

Coming in to the final round (postponed Round 8) on 26th May Cork A were already one and a half points ahead of their nearest rivals. An emphatic 4.5 - 0.5 win over CCYMS left them in first place on 7.5 points from 10 matches.

Ennis A, Sarsfield and Limerick A were all on 5 points coming into the final round. Ennis A also had a 4.5 - 0.5 victory over Charleville and so finished in second place on 6.0 points with 30 game points. Sarsfield won their match against Limerick A, also by 4.5 - 0.5, to finish equal with Ennis A on 6.0 points. Ennis A on 30 points took second place on tie break from Sarsfield who had 29 points.

Although Cork A finished on 7.5 points and Ennis A and Sarsfield finished on 6.0 match points Cork A had only 31 game points versus 30 for Ennis A and 29 for Sarsfield.

Coming in to the final round CCYMS were on 3.0 points ahead of Charleville on 2.5 points. So both teams were still in relegation trouble. Since both lost in the final round Charleville remained in sixth place and were relegated.

Division 2 Congratulations Limerick B

Coming in to the final round Limerick B were in the lead on 5.5 points ahead of Cork B on 4.5 points. Limerick B also had the better game points score but still needed a draw to be sure of winning. Limerick B had a 3 - 2 win over Dungarvan. Cork B also beat Ennis B 3 - 2 so they retained second place.
