Munster Residency Guidelines
Entry to the Munster Championship is restricted to players from or resident in Munster. The
following paragraphs give some more detailed interpretations of this. If in doubt please contact
the Munster Chess Union Committee.
Being from Munster is interpreted as being born in the province or at least growing up and
attending school there.
Being resident in Munster is interpreted as living in the province for at least a year.
In the case of third level students the following guidelines have been used.
Students whose family home is in Munster but who are attending college outside Munster qualify.
Students who are attending third level colleges in Munster also qualify even if their family
home is outside Munster.
